Are you a star at networking and have a feel for structural and mechanical engineering? Both these aspects come in handy in this position, as you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining various contacts and scoring new projects for the structural and mechanical engineering departments of Iv in Papendrecht and Almere. These departments focus primarily on special structures for various sectors and fields of application. From decommissioning and T&I projects to special mission equipment, as long as it concerns unique structures: we convert a technically almost impossible problem into a feasible design.

In addition to the technical nature of this position, as a sales manager, you will have contact with customers and know exactly how to follow up on the agreements and offers made. To spark enthusiasm in these customers, you will create attractive offers, including estimates. You will also perform follow-ups on current projects and ensure the correct handling thereof. Project results and customer satisfaction are therefore of paramount importance to you.

You will report to and discuss your newly scored projects with the Executive Board. Furthermore, you will work closely with specialists and colleague sales managers on large projects and function as a team player.

Iv specialises in designing the most complex steel and movable structures for virtually all sectors and areas of application. If you have ever admired the view of the British capital from the London Eye, then you will be interested to know that Iv designed the construction! But we are capable of so much more. From a unique movable bridge to new offshore concepts, as long as it concerns special steel: we convert technically almost impossible problems into feasible designs! We have also worked on the stinger of the Pioneering Spirit, the world's largest construction vessel, and on Mammoet's super heavy lift cranes. In addition, we have performed a safety investigation on the Halfweg gas platform!

Your professional and intellectual ability is of higher vocational education level or higher (HBO+). You have at least ten years of experience in engineering services, of which at least five years’ work experience in sales. You have an extensive (international) network and feel comfortable in the offshore market. Furthermore, you have an excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written, and you know exactly how to stimulate your colleagues with your enthusiasm and drive.
